After a 4-year long hiatus, Little Chief returns with the release of the EP "Running Wild". The 5-song record was recorded at the legendary Sonic Ranch in El Paso, TX with grammy-nominated producer Chad Copelin (SYML, Sufjan Stevens, Ben Rector). The EP features a vibrant, energetic tone balancing Little Chief’s songwriting roots with a fresh and creative sound. Perfect for your summer drive, the EP features electric guitar performances by Casey Foubert (The Shins, Sufjan Stevens) and Nathan Price (BRONCHO) on drums/percussion.
Inspired by the rugged terrain where the music was recorded, "Running Wild" portrays a story of the relatable uncertainty and transition of life - a desert fever dream about searching for one's purpose and hope.

Little Chief is an indie folk project by songwriter Matt Cooper hailing from the great Natural State of Arkansas. Based in the beautiful mountains of Fayetteville, AR, the music began in 2014 in college dorm rooms among 4 friends. The music rapidly grew a fanbase across the United States. Little Chief has released a 5-song EP (Somewhere Near The River) and a feature full-length debut album (Lion's Den). Previous members have included: Matthew Heckmann, Andrew Myers, John-Lewis Anderson and Ellie Turner.
"There are not many bands I can think of in recent memory – a few, but not many – who have come up with a debut album that has knocked me back in this manner. This is the kind of album that if they were to do nothing else could always be proud of." - Popdose.com
